Endangered Species in India: IUCN Red List and Conservation

Introduction

India is one of the world's 17 mega-biodiverse countries, hosting ~8% of global species. The IUCN Red List categorizes species based on extinction risk, guiding conservation priorities. India has implemented several species-specific conservation programs.
